pirateangelbaby: (Really now)

He hadn't expected it to work, but he had hoped. Being predictable in combat is rarely a good thing, but sometimes, the expected is the unexpected. Not so here, as his hands catch on nothing and Prometheus shifts out of the way, too far to recover the strike. He hits the ground and rolls, using his forward momentum to get back on his feet-

He feels the incoming swipe more than sees it, air shifting and compressing in front of the giant's palm as it swats at him.

Thor ducks, and just in time, the edge of Prometheus' hand barely scuffing against his shoulders and pushing him just a little further back, leaving flat trails of grass where his boots drag through the green. For the briefest of moments, he considers turning and trying to pursue the hand before his friend can lift it, but it will take too long. But perhaps, if Thor baits him again, and is ready this time...

No choice but to go for the legs again, at least to start. But Thor is smaller and more agile, and so he breaks into a sprint to circle around to the Titan's other side, seemingly intent on the greaves' straps again, keeping Prometheus's towering form in his peripheral vision.
